Assam students have brought laurels to the state by clinching medals at Unifight Championship 2018.

With the aim to encourage maximum student participation and promote healthy and fierce competition, School Game Federation of India (SGFI) had organised the 64th National School Game Unifight Championship 2018 for U19 age group of & girls held at Mansimble Event Hall, Palampur in Himachal Pradesh from Nov 14 to Nov 17, 2018.

In the national level championship, Debangana Bhuyan clinched Gold medal at 63 KG category, Sekhar Jyoti Borah got Gold medal at 48-50 KG category.

In 54-56 KG category, Kamal Borah picked Gold.

In 51-53 KG category, Nabanita Borah managed to clinch Bronze medal.

The matches were held league cum Knock-out system, the first four ranks of the pools is decided on the basis of last year's result of the National School Sports Tournament.
