Assam teenager shines in International martial art event

In the recently concluded International Friendship Cup 2018 organised by All India Kyokushin Karate Association (AIKKA) in West Bengal, Abhijeet Gogoi of Dastbi MMA, Guwahati secured the 3rd position thereby finishing the year on a high. Gogoi is now on an orange belt and has knocked down one black belt competitor from Bangladesh in just 5 seconds. In the aforesaid event, the Gold and Silver went to competitors from Korea and Nepal respectively, while Abhijeet managed to grab the Bronze.

The 18-year old Assam boy is training under Sensei Angkim Kashyap Sharma in Dastbi MMA, Guwahati. Dastbi MMA operates with two branches, one in Beltola and another at Geetanagar and is run by two martial art enthusiasts Martial Artist Angkim Kashyap Sharma and Indrani Chakrabarty.
