Assam Zoo Welcomes ‘Female Giraffe’

The wild animal lovers will soon get glimpse of Giraffe in Assam state Zoo.

It will again be part of the Zoo after a long gap of 8 years. The female giraffe is coming from Patna Zoo under an animal exchange programme approved by Central Zoo Authority, New Delhi.

As per reports, under the exchange programme, the Patna zoo will give a female giraffe, three gharials and three swamp deer. In return, the State Zoo will give away a rhino, a black leopard and eight sangai deer.

The State Zoo will also get a male giraffe from Mysore and the female will come from Patna.
