Assamese actor Jiban Bora passed away at 87 on Monday evening.

Bora featured as the leading actor in Palashar Rang and as a supporting actor in Upaja Maati.

Both the films won the prestigious national award for best feature in Assamese.

Bora passed away at his home in Lakhimpur's Thakurbari.
