Assamese short-film wins award in Hungary

Assam filmmaker Dhritiman Kakati has been awarded at the 5th International Nature Film Festival Gödöllő in Hungary. Dhritiman has been awarded on Saturday for his short-film The Man Who 'Speaks' Nature.

Thefilm was based on the life and work of Manoj Gogoi, who has been workingtowards the rescue and rehabilitation of snakes and birds in the KazirangaNational Park.

After receiving the award Dhritiman Kakati said, "I am still processing the fact that Raktim Hazarika and me just thought of making something because we wanted to try out new things few months ago and here we are winning awards in somewhere far far away from our wildest dreams can travel."

Dhritiman Kakati and Raktim Hazarika jointly directed the short-film along with Prabal Bora as the production head of the film.
