Assam’s Bihu dance sets new record

The World Record for largest bihu performance was reportedly established at the Sonaram high school playground today (March 31), where 500 Nasoni and 100 Dhuliya had geared up to make the World Record.

The initiative was taken to promote the Assamese bihu culture in international and national platform,  by 'Satsari'- a socio-cultural organisation of the state.

Revealing incredible enthusiasm, all participants performed continuously on various steps of bihu, attired in traditional Assamese dresses. A large number of bihu lovers of the city witnessed the event.

Renowned personalities Dr Amarjyoti Choudhury , Chetana Das, Nand Singh Borkola along with many dignitaries took part in the event.
