Assam’s DK Das in Chandrayaan-2 mission

Assam Scientist Dipak Kr Das was a key part of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, India's most ambitious space project.

The state is extremely proud to have a son like Dipak Kr Das : who is the Director of Space Applications, ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation). He is from 1976-78 batch of PU from Cotton College.

Das graduated from IT -BHU. His achievement with his team has put the country in the big league.

Chandrayaan-2 is India's second lunar exploration mission after Chandrayaan-1. Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation, the mission was launched from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre on 22 July 2019 at 2.43 PM IST to the Moon by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark III.
