Assam’s dog wins National Award

A wildlife sniffer dog from Biswanath WildlifeDivision has won the popular Super Sniffer Dog award. The German shepherd dog wasnamed Quarmy and won the award for combating wildlife crime.

Quarmy was trained at the NTCD, BSF Academy, Gwalior in 2017.

As per reports, in a period of merely two years ofdeployment, Quarmy has helped in solving several wildlife crime cases andprovided crucial leads to enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, Nirman from Tiger Strike Force in Satna and Myna from Tiger Strike Force in Indore were also awarded in the Super Sniffer Dog competition.
