Atul Bora ropes in Zubeen Garg as agriculture sector’s brand ambassador

Pratidin Bureau

Renowned Assamese singer star Zubeen Garg would be soon working as a brand ambassador of the state agriculture sector in a bid to motivate the upcoming generation to consider agriculture as a full-time profession.

After a discussion with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, state agriculture and veterinary minister Atul Bora offered a proposal to the singer as the brand ambassador of the agriculture sector of the state. Bora asserted, "Zubeen Garg can inspire and motivate the young generation and can strengthen the agricultural sector".

Furthermore, Garg and his wife Garima Saikia Garg met the agriculture minister and discussed an agro based project that will be benefit the agricultural status of the state.

However, this decision has received mixed responses from civil society especially on social media. In Garg's defense, his wife Garima Garg on Facebook sneered at the social media community and "asked them to stop discussing Zubeen Garg and instead hang him in a public space for being a fraudulent anti-Indian".
