In anunfortunate incident, a young girl fell into the flooding waters of the BhelengiRiver in Barpeta.

The victimhas been identified as Saraswati Rai, daughter of one Dinabandhu Rai. Theincident has occurred in Baghbar's Kopoha Village.

According toreports, Saraswati was visiting her maternal uncle pertaining to a NRC hearing.

Thedeceased was a resident of Bishpani Village in Chirang.
