BDS Deaf & Dumb School shines in HSLC results

Withthe HSLC results declared today, the pass percentage saw a relative increase of4.19 percent in comparison to the previous year's 56.04 percent. Moreover, 39candidates have been able to secure a place within the 10 ranks.

Meanwhile,the students of the Bhauri Devi Sarawgi (BDS) Deaf and Dumb School inKahilipara have been able to showcase bright results. 30 students of the schoolwho had appeared in the exam this year, 10 students secured first division, 17students secured second division and 3 students secured third division.

Itshould be noted that, Hiya Dutta, a student from the school, scored statehighest marks in Textile Designing. Another student, Abhinandan Goswami, whoalso has a black belt in martial arts, scored 72%.The Government BDS Deaf and Dumb School was establishedin 1949. Notably, it has been catering to the educational requirements of thedifferently-abled students of the State.
