Behali gets new engineering college

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Behali Engineering College at Jarabari in Biswanath district.

Behali Engineering College, which will be a state-of-the-art infrastructure, is expected to provide huge impetus towards furthering technical education in the state and fulfill aspirations of many in the North Bank region.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Sonowal said that there is a renewed zeal to take Assam to the forefront through PM Narendra Modi's Act East policy.

"I believe the college will provide skilled human resources for the Southeast Asia region, boosting the state economy", the CM said.
