Beltola coal mafias detained

14 days later since one Assamese truck driver was attacked by two coal mafias, the Guwahati Police has detained the mafia duo. Identified as Ashok Nath and Ramesh Rai, the duo has been detained by Bashistha police on Wednesday.

The driver identified as Tapan Borah was mercilessly tied and beaten up on February 21 at the orders of his boss Ashok Nath and Ramesh Rai for not delivering the coal consignment in proper place.

Police took the coal mafias in custody for further investigation. Their interrogation is on and more information is waited – police said.
