Pratidin Bureau

Protest against the much debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 continues in Assam as All Assam Bengali Yuva Chatra Parishad today took to the streets of Charaideo district to oppose the bill.

More than 500 people participated in the protest demanding immediate boycott of the Bill and urged the Assam government not to implement it at any cost.

The federation heavily criticized PM Narendra Modi and Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal for forcefully dumping the bill on the people of Assam and going against the will of the people.

One of the outraged protesters said, "If this government doesn't let us live in peace, just wait for the coming elections and we will give our verdict."

The protesters continuously raised slogans of 'BJP Go Back' and "Bangladeshi Go Back'.
