Congress Rajya Sabha MP and chief whip Bhubaneswar Kalita, who resigned from the party on Monday to protest against the party's stand on scrapping Article 370, has joined BJP on Friday evening in New Delhi .

Kalita joined the party at its headquarters in presence of Union minister Piyush Goyal and other senior leaders.
