Another person succumbed to COVID-19 at Bilasipara on Monday morning at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The deceased has been identified as Kanak Das (56).

Das, who was a resident of Bilasipara was admitted to GMCH 10 days ago after he was tested positive for the virus and succumbed to the disease today.

However, five people died at Bilasipara due to COVID-19 so far.
