BJP leader Mira Borthakur expelled from Party

BJP leader Mira Borthakur had been expelled from primary member of the party for breaking party's rules and regulations General Secretary of Assam State BJP, Dilip Saikia informed it during a press conference on Wednesday.

Mira Borthakur made a statement saying Assam CM as 'Masked Actor'. In media statements, she also criticized PM Modi and BJP president Ranjit Kumar Das.

She has been heading a campaign against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 in Assam. According to her, the BJP is in favour of the bill. Before her expulsion from BJP primary membership, she was a former State secretary, spokesperson, media co-convenor and State Finance Committee member of the Assam pradesh BJP.

Borthakur will address a press conference on Thursday.
