With the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019 just a few days away, the miffed Ex-BJP veteran RP Sarmah on Sunday expressed confidence that the Gorkhas in Assam have decided to vote against the BJP in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

"Assam's Gorkha community to go against BJP in the ensuing Lok Sabha election. BJP may lose many seats in Assam" : RP Sarmah said.

"The community will teach BJP a lesson in the coming Lok Sabha polls." Sarmah added.

Attacking NEDA (North-East Democratic Alliance) Sarmah said that Himanta-led NEDA has drowned in Brahmaputra river".

It may be mentioned that Tezpur MP Sarmah resigned from primary membership of the BJP over denial of ticket. Gorkha community in Assam upset over the ruling BJP and many Gorkha Unions reiterated to go against it in the ensuing Lok Sabha election.
