Black flags waved at PM Modi in Guwahati

The members of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Friday evening waved black flags at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Guwahati.

AASU members waved black flags at PM Modi, when his convoy was passing in front of Swahid Nyas at Latasil and heading towards Raj Bhawan in Guwahati. AASU leaders including Samujjal Kumar Bhattacharya, Dipanka Nath and others were present during the incident.

Notably, police locked the members of AASU inside the premises of Swahid Nyas, when PM Modi's convoy was passing through MG road.

Black flags were also waved at the PM near the prestigious Gauhati University in Jalukbari by the students of the university in protest against the much debated Citizenship (Amendment) Bill.

Prime Minister arrived at Guwahati to take part in several programme in Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura.
