Black ink smeared on AASU memorial

Unidentified miscreants smeared black ink on AASU Swahid Bedi at Basugaon in Chirang on Sunday night – as per reports.

For the second time, the memorial of AASU came under attack by miscreants in the state.

Basugaon Police has already started investigation against the miscreants.

"The probe will find out who were involved in the attack" – Police said.

Administration also appealed to all sections of people of the state to maintain peace.

In 2017, the activists of Nikhil Bharat Bangali Udbastu Samanvay Samiti (NIBBUSS) went on a rampage and ransacked an office of the AASU at Silapathar in northern Assam's Dhemaji district.
