A horrific boataccident has taken place at Janji in Sivsagar on Sunday evening.

As per reports, the accident took place due to the sharp flow of the river; where a person identified as Ranjit Mura had drowned in the river.

Reportedly the boat was going towards Haloating this evening. It has been suspected that the person who had drowned in the river has already died.

It may be stated that, despite getting the information regarding the accident, the rescue team has not reached the scene yet.
