In a tragic development, two women and a man lost their lives when their Wagon R car was run into by a train at Nadhiyapara in Boko today. The accident also caused serious injuries to a kid.

The child, following the deadly accident, was rushed to Boko Primary Health Centre for medical assistance.

As learnt, the car, bearing registration number AS01 DS 8398, decided to cross over the rail line as it was unable to use the inundated railway tunnel. The train, en route to Bongaigaon, smashed the car as it was trying to cross the line.

The victims were not identified till the writing of this report.
