After the infamous cash-for-job scam, another sensational incident in the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has come to light. ACS officer Bornali Tamuli has secured her job by producing a fake caste certificate.

TheCommittee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes of AssamLegislative Assembly on Wednesday announced the caste certificate of Tamuli asfake. The committee further asked the concerned department to initiate aninvestigation against Tamuli.

According to reports, she was married to one person belonging to the scheduled caste community but her father does not belong to the Scheduled Caste community. As per the Government of Assam regulation, "the caste of a person does not change by marriage". It was alleged that she has concealed the facts and misled the APSC and District Administration for her personal benefits.
