Boycott BJP-led alliance, AIUDF : Akhil

Pratidin Bureau

Ahead of coming general election, the 70 organizations of Assam-led by KMSS Chief Akhil Gogoi on Friday lambasted the BJP-led alliance in the state. Gogoi in a straight line urged the voters in the state to boycott BJP and its partners, AGP and BPF.

Calling a press conference on Friday, Gogoi said that "The contentious Citizenship Bill still remains an issue of Assam and the northeast. If the BJP comes back to power again, would revive the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016. That's why; we have decided to boycott the BJP-led alliance in Assam."

He also urged Assam voters to reject the AIUDF.

"The decisions have been taken in order to wipe out the anti-Assamese forces in Assam"- Gogoi added.
