“Bulbul Can Sing” Gets Special Mention at Berlinale 2019

Acclaimed Assamese film maker Rima Das's film 'Bulbul Can Sing' received a 'Special Mention at the Berlin International Film Festival 2019. The film was competing in Generation 14 Plus category at the festival.

The film festival is also popularly known as Berlinale, in Germany is one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the world.

The film is about a teenage girl, Bulbul, living in a village in Assam, fighting her way through love and loss as she figures out who she really is.

Bulbul Can Sing had a world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. It was screened at the Busan International Film Festival, the largest film festival in Asia.
