Burglars loot property worth lakhs in Guwahati

A sensational incident of burglary in Basistha's Ganeshnagar has raised serious issues of security in the area.

A group of youths assaulted old woman and rob her of almost 5 lakh and huge amount of jewellery. The incident took place at Handloom and textile's Additional Secretary Kanak Sendeka's residence

According to reports, around 1:30 am on Saturday, a well planned group of burglars with weapons entered Sendeka's residence no: 82. The group rob the secretary after tying him and his family members up.

The group of burglars rob a huge amount of money and jewellery, torturing the family for almost two hours and also threatened them with a pistol.

This incident has sent an air of panic in the area.
