Managing Director and Director of Himatsingka Auto Enterprises Ltd, Rajesh Himatsingka has been arrested by the police on Sunday. A police team as per the instructions of Kamrup Metro Judicial magistrate on Sunday reached the Amsoi Tea Estate Factory with an arrest warrant against the businessman.

The businessman was arrested after a case was filed against him by a women named Draupadi Modi under 1400 C/2012, Section 70 of Code of Criminal Procedure following which the businessman had gone into hiding.

The Director of Himatsingka Motor Works Ltd also owns various other multi-crore businesses across the Northeast.

Recently, he had grabbed limelight by marrying a much younger girl almost half of his age. The businessman also had grabbed headlines after his alleged suicide attempt at his farm house in the outskirts of Guwahati.
