CAB: Fearing Angry Mob, Phani Bhusan runs away

Amid the rising protest against the contentious Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB), Assam Food and Civil Supply Minister and regional party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) leader Phani Bhusan Choudhury on Saturday 'ran away' from a party meeting fearing a black flag protest. The incident took place in Manikpur area under Bongaigaon district.

According to reports, the minister ran away from the party meeting following reports of protesters marching towards the meeting venue to stage dharna and wave black flags to the minister in opposition to the CAB.

Itmay be mentioned here that people across the State are criticising AGP and itsleaders for their indirect support to the contentious bill.
