Cachar student loses life to Japanese Encephalitis

With Japanese Encephalitis (JE) rampaging across Assam, a student of class 12 lost her life to the infection in Cachar.

The victim, Banskandi's Tahlina Akhtar was undergoing treatment in SMCH during which she succumbed to the illness.

Accordingto reports, Tahlina was admitted to the hospital on July 31.

It may benoted that in 2019, JE has claimed three lives in Cachar.
