Pratidin Bureau

Famous cartoonist of Assam, Nituparna Rajbongshi, has faced backlash for his cartoons on Citizenship (Amendment) Bill and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

In a recent cartoon, he depicted Assam CM as a nude caricature and received flak for it. Several users on Twitter have criticised him for this. Taking to social networking site facebook, Rajbongshi said that due to several reports on his content, twitter has warned him by an email that the social networking platform had labelled his media as 'sensitive content', but he would continue his opposition against the Bill by visiting every village and every household in the State. "I am not scared," said Rajbongshi.

The Citizenship (Amendment) Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. The Bill evoked widespread protest across the State.
