Cash for job: 54 Social Welfare employees summoned

The Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau of Assam police on Wednesday has summoned 54 employees of Social Welfare department. They were summoned in connection with cash for job scam in the department.

The accused were summoned to the bureau's office in Guwahati. According to reports, the summoned employees were appointed during 2015-16.

Sources said the employees include Jr. Administrative Assistant, Supervisor and Anganwadi workers.
