Ahead of the coming Lok Sabha Elections, the Orang police on Saturday night seized Rs. 9 lakh in cash from a vehicle (AS-06-U-3455) during a checking in the area.

A team of Orang police was checking vehicles in the town, when the vehicle carrying the cash was stopped. Although the driver of the vehicle identified as Rabi Bhatti claimed that he was carrying the cash on behalf of a bank, he failed to produce the necessary documents when the police asked.

Following this, police officials seized the vehicle and the money and took it to the Orang police station. They also informed the election wing of the Income Tax department.
