Chalachitram film festival gets underway

The three-day 'Chalachitram National Film festival' has started at Jyoti Chitraban in Guwahati from Friday, set to end on March 3.

On the first day, the festival began with movie screenings from the competitive section and the opening film for the day is 'Bhor,' directed by Kamakshya Narayan Singh and written by Ranjan Chauhan. The second day is dedicated to eminent film director of Assam, late Bhaben Das.

Jayanta Malla Baruah, Chairperson of Assam Tourism development Corporation Ltd, Film critic Ranjan Chauhan and many other dignitaries took part in the inaugural ceremony.
