Childline Rescues 16-Year Girl from Lanka

The Lanka unit of Childline in Hojai district has rescued a 16-year old girl with the help of Lanka police on Saturday.

According to the police, the girl was eloped by one Sajal Das of Ranipukhuri in Lanka in order to marry her. The girl has eloped from Jogijan in Hojai.

The police said that they have successfully recovered the girl child with the help of Childline after receiving information from an internal source.

Childline now handed over the girl to the Children's Welfare Committee,Nagaon for further procedure.
