Citizenship Bill : 70 organisations hit the streets

After 'Sankalpa Sikha Jatra', as many as 70 organisations, led by the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), hit the streets on Monday to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, demanding that it should be scrapped.

70 organisations have launched 'Gana Satyagrah' against the centre proposed Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016 (CAB) from today on the districts of Assam.

As per reports, the organisations will also stage a indefinite hunger strike by the end of November at Delhi against the Bill.
Meanwhile, All Assam Students Union (AASU) along with 28 other organisations have also been carrying out massive protests against the Citizenship Bill.
