City Buses Flouting Norms of Unlock 3.0

The city buses are plying on the roads with the new guidelines issued by the state transport department during the Unlock 3.0 starting today. Although the transport department said that the city buses should ply with 50% passengers, it has been seen that the city buses are running on the roads with full passengers without maintaining social distancing.

Moreover, the top officials of transport department in a meeting with the city bus owners' association, said that the buses in Basistha to Khanapara will ply through the city roads and it will return via National Highway No 37 which was opposed by the bus owners'.

Opposing the transport department's decision, the bus drivers and handymen have decided to suspend 300 bus services in the Basistha and Khanapara route.
