CM lays foundation stone of T-shaped flyover

AssamChief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday laid the foundation stone of a1400-meter long T-shaped flyover on the GS road in the city. The double-laneflyover will connect Dispur to Khanapara and Supermarket to Last Gate inGuwahati.

Accordingto government sources, the total project cost of the flyover is Rs. 127.20crore, which is scheduled to be completed within 36 months.

Theflyover will start in front of the Janata Bhawan at Dispur and end at the DownTown police point. On the other hand, the right-side bifurcation will startfrom the Dispur Supermarket junction to terminate before the traffic roundabout(Golchakkar) at Last Gate. It will be the longest flyover in the city.

AssamPWD minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Guwahati Development minister SiddharthaBhattacharya and Dispur MLA Atul Bora also attended the programme.
