CM Sarbananda Sonowal votes in Dibrugarh

Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday casted his vote for the Lok Sabha elections at a polling station in Dibrugarh. The polling station set up at the Asom Sahitya Sabha Bhawan in Dibrugarh.

In Dibrugarh, there are also 8 candidates in the fray for the seat. BJP's sitting MP Rameswar Teli is contesting against Congress' Paban Singh Ghatowar. Notably, Sarbananda Sonowal was a Member of Parliament of 14th Lok Sabha from Dibrugarh Constituency.

Besides Sonowal, former Assam CM and senior Congress leader Tarun Gogoi has also casted his vote in the first phase of election on Thursday morning in Jorhat.
