CM to undertake aerial survey of flood-hit Cachar tomorrow

AssamChief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will undertake an aerial survey of theflood-affected areas of Cachar District in Barak valley tomorrow. The CM will also hold areview meeting with all departmental heads of the district regarding thecurrent flood situation.

Earlier, Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today undertook an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas of Upper Assam districts. He also discussed the prevailing flood situation with the officials of district administrations and concerned departments.

Meanwhile,the central government has approved a sum of Rs. 251.55 crore for relief andrehabilitation work in Assam.
