Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi Reaches Guwahati

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reached Borjhar Airport and headed towards Late Tarun Gogoi's government residence to console the bereaved family. He reached Guwahati directly from Goa to pay the last tribute to the former Assam Chief Minister at Sankardeva Kalakshetra.

He was welcomed at Borjhar airport by APCC President Ripun Bora, party leader Rockybul Hussain, Pradyut Bordoloi, Devabrat Saikia and other members of APCC. He will stay for two hours in Guwahati and will return to Delhi today after paying homage to the veteran congress leader.

Security has been beefed up in Sankardeva Kalakshetra ahead of the visit of the Congress leader.

Meanwhile, thousands of people thronged to Kalakshetra to pay last tribute to the veteran politician who died on Monday evening due to multi-organ failure post-COVID-19 recovery.
