Covid-19: 2,415 Active Caseload In Assam

Assam on Thursday registered 384 fresh cases of COVID-19, taking the active caseload to 2,415. The positivity rate of the state has reached 0.61 per cent.

The new cases have been detected out of 62,536 Covid-19 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. Four Covid-19 fatalities were reported today, while, 226 cured cases were discharged.

The districts with the highest cases were Kamrup Metro (147), Sonitpur (23), Golaghat (22), and Jorhat (21).

The total recoveries of the state have touched 5,98,087 with a recovery rate of 98.40 per cent.

Meanwhile, Covid-related fatalities in the state have reached 5,962 with a death rate of 0.98 per cent.

The overall case tally of the state as of today remains 6,07,811.
