Pratidin Bureau

At a time when the old and feeble are considered one of the most vulnerable groups to the COVID-19 infection, news of an 80-year-old woman getting discharged after successfully beating the contagion is much welcoming.

Anima Boro was discharged today from GMCH after she tested negative. She was "critically ill during hospitalization".

This was informed by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on twitter. He wrote, "80 yr old Covid19 fighter Anima Boro discharged from GMCH after testing negative.  She was critically ill during hospitalization. Inspiring moment for all of us when she went out smiling from GMCH."

Earlier in the day, a 93-year-old COVID-19 patient named Jibini Devi was also discharged. She is from Guwahati.
