COVID-19 Assam: Active cases cross 15000 mark

Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said 2372 active cases of coronavirus infection were recorded on Thursday pushing the tally of the active cases to 15464.

The minister reported that out of 2372, Kamrup (M) registered with 470 cases, Nagaon with 197 cases, Cachar with 163 cases, Dibrugarh with 128 cases, Tinsukia with 122 cases and Jorhat with 104 cases.

Meanwhile, 1332 cured patients were discharged today. 37224 recoveries have been registered in the state so far while 126 deaths have been reported to date. The total positive cases stand at 52817.
