COVID-19 Rangiya: Infected person yet to receive treatment

Residents of Kakajon village at Abhayapuri in Rangiya district are distressed as a person has tested positive for coronavirus, however, the health workers have not arrived yet to take the positive patient for treatment.

It has been more than 24-hours and the residents are waiting for the authorities to arrive. Furthermore, the village has not been declared a containment zone yet.

Swab samples have not been collected from the family of the one who has been infected.

The villagers are in distress and are confined to their homes instead of pursuing their daily occupation of farming.

Allegations of negligence towards the handling of COVID-19 cases by the Rangiya administration are being reported. So far, 155 COVID-19 positive cases have been reported in the Rangiya district.
