The state of Assam on Friday reported 3,666 new cases of coronavirus, taking the active cases to 45,477 with a positivity rate of 2.16 per cent.
The overall tally of the state is 4,53,867.
Further, 29 deaths were recorded today, while, 5,241 cases were discharged.
The districts with the highest cases are: Kamrup Metro (341), Cachar (300), Sonitpur (257) and Golaghat (242).
The new cases were detected out of the 1,69,528 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.
The total recoveries in the state has touched 4,03,170 with a recovery rate of 88.83 per cent, while the death tally has climbed to 3,873.
The district-wise deaths registered today are: Cachar (4), Baksa (3), Barpeta (2), Bongaigaon (2), Hojai (2), Kamrup Rural (2), Morigaon (2), Sonitpur (2), Tinsukia (2), Dibrugarh (1), Dima Hasao (1), Golaghat (1) Kamrup Metro (1), Karbi Anglong (1), Kokrajhar (1), Nalbari (1) and Sivasagar (1).
