Covid19: Assam’s recovery rate soars to 63.2%

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday that as many as 3,404 COVID-19 patients have been cured so far, bringing the recovery rate up to 63.2%.

The number of samples being tested every day also continues to grow. In the last 48 hours, 15,000 samples were tested. The total number of samples tested thus far is 288,677, the Minister stated.

With 9 fatalities and 3 migrations, the total number of active cases in Assam now stands at 1,972.

"Two days in a row our team managed to conduct over 15,000 more #Covid19 tests today on June 21 taking the total to 288,677. Our targeted testing is designed to trace all potential infections. We thank you all for your cooperation. Compliments to the team", the Health Minister wrote on Twitter, announcing the development.
