Cyber Crime: New Trick of Robbery

Three cases have been registered against cyber-criminals in the city as they looted money from customers by giving them bike offers.

The cyber-criminals offered bikes to customers and asked them to pay Rs. 5 for booking through Google Pay and they used the URL of the customers and looted the bank account thereafter.

Five cases have been reported from different parts of the city andthree cases have been registered in Dispur and Paltan Bazaar police station.

Meanwhile, police asked the people to be alert and aware of such incidencesand requested not to go through such fake offers.

However, police are investigating on the incidences and trying to findout the culprits.
