In asensational incident, a girl student was stabbed to death by her friend inDalgaon area under Darrang district on Tuesday. The locals recovered her bodyin an unconscious state by the side of a road.

The girlwas immediately rushed a hospital, where she was declared 'brought dead'. She hasbeen identified as Monimala.

Accordingto reports, she was a class-X student of Mangaldoi Higher Secondary School. Shewas returning after attending the Freshers' programme at her institute, whenshe was attacked by another girl.

Meanwhile,after registering a case, initiated an investigation. The reason behind thebrutal murder is yet to be ascertained.
