Day 3 of ‘Sankalpa Shikha Jatra’

70 ethnic organisations led by Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) started 'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' on day three from five different locations of Assam on Tuesday November 13 to protest against the proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The members of KMSS, Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parisad  (AJYCP)  and other ethnic organisations joined the 'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' and organised a bike-rally with  from Sivasagar, Hahsora, Golaghat, Narayanpur and Barpeta.

Earlier on Sunday,  'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' started from four Sadiya, Dhubri, Diphu and Jonai with almost 1000 bikers.

On day two 'Sankalpa Shikha Jatra' started from Dibrugarh, Golaghat, Dhemaji and Chirang.

KMSS leader Akhil Gogoi said, "Participants of 'Sankalp Sikha Yatra' will protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in front of Janata Bhawan in Dispur on the same day."

Gogoi also informed that they will demand the Assam government to clear its stand on the Bill on November 16 or the participants will protest in front of Janata Bhawan till their last breath.
