In a daring daylight heist, robbers looted an estimated Rs 40 lakh when custodians of a cash van, belonging to a private cash replenishment company, were in the process of refilling money into an ATM of a leading private bank in the city. 

The incident took place in Machkhowa, this afternoon.

As soon as the custodians moved out of the van to the ATM, an unidentified man came and snatched the bag filled with around Rs 40 lakh cash, police said.

A security person of the agency has been taken into police custody for thorough interrogation.
